All in the Details

I am in no way ready to leave home and start school again. Half semester to go and I will be a college Graduate! That said, I am entering another Love That Shot Photo Contest. This months theme is "All in the Details"

KWAYC

After a days of little or no sleep, we are finally done with our Kamiah Wellness and Youth Center which we named the KWAYC |quaek|. This project was a collaboration between the Junior Interior Design studio and my Senior Architecture Studio. It was a great opportunity to gain perspective on more interior focused design. My team consisted of Molly, Jamie, Rebecca and Myself. We made a very dynamic team and became great friends, even celebrating at the local bar in Kamiah afterwards!

Our design focused on creating a hub for community activities, encouraging positive forms of entertainment. In response to the local economy and site, we designed an internal butterfly wood truss system. The structure opens up to the community on the West and views of the river on the East while creating a feeling of movement within. The KWAYC proudly stands as a corroboration between the community, its surroundings and nature.

My car is a champ

Nuff said! Just made it home through 2 feet of snow on our road at one at night. I may or may not have talked dirty to Mr. KIA the whole way just to make sure I got home safe. Night!
